Pedro's Mission
We arrived in Kazan at a reasonable time for a change at about 0830 and found Hotel Fatima which was a stones throw away from the Kermlin. Here we got a nice bed and a decent shower for a tenner a night which was a hell of a lot better than the 15 quid we had to pay for the floor in the TV room in Moscow (I am never going back there)!!!
After showering and getting some nice, CHEAP food up by the university we walk around town and bought our train tickets to Yeketerinburg and in the evening we had a few Russian Beers (they're not getting any better).
On the Saturday we walked around the Kermlin (Mum, a Kermlin is a Russian Fortress) which was much more impressive than the one in Moscow as you will see from the pictures. We then walked into town and met a Russki called Morart and his girlfriend Camill (lucky git) who spoke perfect English. We later met up with her brother and they took us across the other side of the river to a football bar and showed us the area they lived in. In the evening we met them again and had some German Beer as Russian beer is pretty nasty.
On Sunday we walked through the central market, which sold pretty much everything and sat by the River Volga before metting the Russki's again to watch Liverpool beat Chavski 2-1 in the Charity Shield. After the football (not soccer) the Russian's took us to a war memorial just down the road from the sports bar. Then on Monday we got our train to Yeketerinburg.
