It's really depressing now... The rain has been consistent for the last three, maybe four days, and just seems to be getting worse. I hate sounding unappreciative, but there's just nothing we can do, everything is an outside activity, and the rain simply spoils it and makes it impossible. We're all feeling it too. Normally, the boys would wake up in the morning and ask what we're going to do, and we'd have a full plan of attack organised, and we'd rush around from here to there, trying to fit it all in... Now, we stay in bed as long as possible, trying to delay the fact that we don't know what we're going to do, there's just not much we can do, and we'll be hanging around inside the caravan waiting for the rain to stop... Or at least ease up...
Yesterday, we went to the Buderim Ginger Factory in Yandina, because it seemed like an ok spot to go in the rain. And it was ok. They have a lovely touristy village, with a nice little garden walk, and a cane train ride and a little boat ride, and tours through the ginger processing plant... We did the rides and the walk, and had a look through the village, but it was done in a couple of hours, and the rain stopped us from hanging around in the village, and we turned around and came back home. We then made ourselves go out to town to have a look around Noosa, but again, the rain set in and made it impossible to just walk around and enjoy it. So, we came home and watched more DVD's. And had noodles again for dinner...
Today, we went to the cinema. We watched Snow White in the morning, which we all thoroughly loved, and are very pleased to have seen it on the big screen. Then we had lunch in town, and went back to the cinema to watch Brave. We thought it was so, so, but Dylan loved it, and I do enjoy watching movies, any movies, in 3D... That was today, all day... We came home to the caravan, to find everything in our beds is wet. The water has penetrated through the canvas walls, and soaked into the sheets, doonas, mattresses... everything...
Sunshine Coast, my arse...

Michelle East Oh dear! You do sound a little depressed. I feel for you, I can speak from experience that Australia Zoo is do-able in the rain. Otherwise, tomorrow there is a whole bunch of new movies being released; Ice Age 4 & something else that I can't remember right now. Try to enjoy :-)
Ginny Now you know what it's like when we go away. We always seem to get rain when we are on hols. Every now and then we consider selling our services to drought stricken areas. At least we would be doing some good for someone. Have you considered moving into a cabin for a few nights or maybe even a motel just so you can feel dry for a while? I'm surprised you have lasted this long in the caravan, couldn't do it myself I would end up biting everyones head off. Don't say a word. Hang in there guys, not long to go so you better make the most of it. I know that's easy for me to say sitting in my nice dry house with everything I need at my finger tips but you'll be OK. Your on holidays!! No work, now stress, no worries!! So have fun, stay safe and big hugs to all. Love T&G PS. When we stayed up there last time we went to the aquarium at Moolloollaba (I think that's how you spell it) and it was all inside. It has a seal show and really good exhibitions and we enjoyed it so it can't be that bad. Just a thought.
