Ok. Well, we were all hoping for a quieter night last night, but guess what? Nope, wasn't gonna happen... Went to bed at 9pm... At 10.30, the lady from the site down the road sends her two boys to throw their frisbee on the road in front of our site, so they don't wake up their little sister!! Nah, don't think so! I roared at them to go back home after 10 minutes, which they do, and we don't have any more issues, until... 2am in the morning. There's a large group staying in the lodge, and a few of the cabins behind us, and they decide to roam the park laughing and shouting and carrying on, as though it's 2pm in the afternoon!! God I'm glad we don't do groups, I think I'd end up with an ulcer dealing with that crap. The group is still here tonight, so we'll see how we go again.
Anyway, enough of the negative stuff, today was a cracker... We went to the zoo and hired bikes to ride around the track. Clear blue skies, 28 degrees, a nice breeze and some very amazing scenery to enjoy. The regular stuff was all there to enjoy, elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, tigers, lions, zebras, antelope... you know the stuff we mean. The ones we enjoyed the most though were the meerkats and the gibbons (monkeys). They were active and funny and impulsive and much fun to watch. They didn't just sit in the sun and do nothing, they were truly entertaining, and we could have watched them for hours... The weather was perfect, we were very lucky to get the day we got! At the end, the boys had a play in the new playground, a jump on the jumping castle and we had a milkshake at the cafe.
A quick trip into town followed for some groceries (I bought myself a scooter, but don't tell Jo), and I filled up the car with fuel (18l per 100km at the moment, is that bad?), and we had dinner at SSS for Dylans birthday tomorrow... Lucky we didn't let Jo bring the scales, I think we'd have broken them already, and it's only day 3. I think the relaxation has started to set in... By the way, we found the little bakery that was recommended to us by Michelle, and we're going to visit before we leave tomorrow. Is that bad too...?
