Les Antiquities - The Arch. Part of the Glanum area.

Old Roman ruins of Glanum dating from approx 6 century BC - similar to Pompeii. Old city which was abandoned then later become re-established nearby as Saint Remy de Provence. Not as well preserved as Pompeii but then it wasn't buried under ash and lava for 1700 years. Nothing much has changed in over 2000 years. The cafe is called Fontaine. Carol could not work out why until we looked over our shoulder and a large fountain was right behind us. Probably the least friendly service we have had (at least until we get to Paris). It was market day in this village today. Most of the large-ish villages have markets.

We are 20K into our ride. Hopefully this is halfway. We have not been through this village before. We normally turn left toward Moires rather than right. We are in a lovely plaza that has outdoor seating for nearby restaurants and cafes.
