This is the view from our hotel room.

Our hotel in Paris - Hotel Concorde La Fayette. It is midday on Saturday. Uneventful TGV trip - particularly as Carol only had hand luggage and I had just a backpack. Express so only 2 1/2 hours, then a Metro trip across town which was cheap and easy. Helpful staff at the train stations. Once you leave the train you walk underground all the way to the hotel. We stayed at this hotel in 2004.

It is a beautiful morning. We are sitting here listening to the busker and Carol has befriended two Canadian ladies, one of whom took this photo.

We are 25K into our morning ride and stopped for coffee. This is a larger village called Fontvieille. It is Friday and market day for this village. This guy is very very good. He is playing all the standards. As Graham Otter would say "seriously good".

These are ancient monuments to the sacred spring. The Glanum was located at a natural spring and during Roman times a feature of the site were the Roman baths.
