". . .life is short and the world is wide"
See this picture, this is exactly where I was this weekend! Talk about one of my favorite places this entire trip, I had the most amazing time! We woke up at 6 and headed to Cinque Terre, about a 2 hour bus ride, and then took a boat around to the different port towns. This is Vernazza, the port town that we stayed in. We hiked between the towns all day, ended being about 10 miles! It was the most beautiful hike I have ever done, it was tough and I was pretty tired by the end of it, but it was so beautiful. I can't even desribe it in words, you'll have ot look at my pictures and try to imagine what a "gem" this place is. It is defintely like out of a story book.
After our long day of hiking we arrived back at our hotel around 7, which is right in town off of the main street, the only street really! We went out for a fabulous dinner, probably the best I have had in Italy! Cinque Terre is known for their Pesto, which you may know is my favorite italian dish, so I basically had the best pesto in the world, my new favorite food, basalmic and bread, sarah and i split an AMAZING steak, and topped it off with the best white wine I have ever tasted. I just was overwhemled, it just doesn't get any better than this. And yes, we still had room for tiramisu dad! The best meal EVER. Our waiter told us the cool place to hang out after dinner, and we met a bunch of cool people. THis town actually houses 600 locals, and they are all really close. It was so cool getting to known them and hang out with a bunch of awesome, genuine italian friends for the night. We had SUCH a blast! We went up to the tower as you can see in the pictures, and it was a medieval watchtower. We only had candlight to see, and we just hungout and danced and listned to music, and below us we could hear the waved crashing and breaking on the huge boulders below. It was the coolest thing i've ever experienced, and I was so happy to have awesome people to share that experience with! Around 2 am we walked around town, we took a walk all around the coast of the town and just hung out and talked for HOURS! It was beautiful, and the moon was shining bright, i felt like I was in a fairytale:) I got to sleep around 5:30 in the morning, but luckily on saturday we didn't have any plans other than sleeping!
We woke up and went across the street were a couple of our friends worked and they made us cappuccino to wake us up! We wandered through town and I think we knew someone working at every shop! We basically met the whole town last night, it was so funny, we felt like the locals. We made sandwiches in the piazza, and people watched. We got another cappuccino before visiting our friends and saying our goodbyes. We had SUCH an amazing time, and they invited us to come back and stay anytime. What a beautiful place, and such an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Another Update! I am now an international model, i got my second job, this time in Italy! I am a hair model for Gian Marco, an artist in Sesto Fiorentino. I have a photo shoot on Monday, he'll be styling my hair crazy and taking pictures, it should be really fun! Hopefully i'll get to show them to ya'll! If you can't tell from the pictures, I changed my hair up a lil bit! Love you all!!!
