THE SOUTH IS-LANDS

So after getting fed up of 7 Days of crap weather in Vietnam and hearing about the cyclone that had caught Cambodia and caused loads of floodings to the areas we wanted to visit , we decided to change our original plan , sack off Cambodia and head straight to the south islands for the October full moon .

It took us 4 days of non stop travelling which included one 10 hour bus journey from NHAI TRANG to HCM CITY which we though was meant to be on a sleeper bus with beds ,but turned out to be a normal Thai bus !! which wasn't fun pretty crammed and had bolt upright seats. We then got a flight from HCM city in the south of Vietnam back to Bangkok which only cost around 70 pounds and took only an hour ! it felt nice not to have to spend ages sat on a bus for once . After our flight we got a sleeper train down to the south islands of Thailand and a boat with the boys we had been travelling Laos and a bit of Vietnam with over to the main Party Island Koh Phangan

After getting to Kho Phangan. The 4 days spent in buses plains and trains paid off ! the weather was brilliant and the Kho phangan is a wicked place .. I had been told alot of good things about it and i was not disappointed .

We ended up getting there earlier than expected so we managed to book a place on the beach for 2 days before checking into Paradise bungalows ,for only 4 pounds a night .

On the island we chilled out on the beach during the day , didn't do many activities apart from a beach football tournament which we where pretty poor at . All the teams apart from our's where Israeli and didn't like the way the English played football .. We where the only team out of about 7 or 8 in the tournament to get a booking and i think between us we got 3 reds and around 8 yellows which i received 2 of the reds and 2 of the yellows

The evenings where even better than i had expected as well it was busier than anywhere we had been by far and the 11 th and 12 th (day before and the full moon night) where rammed ! the beach was wicked and had fire shows , foam parties a lot of dancing drinking and a fire skipping rope .. which i got burnt by like ever other person that attempted to tackle it.

On the full moon we ended up getting in at 1pm the next day and we had started drinking at around 5-6 of the afternoon of the full moon !

After 10 days of drinking in Kho phangan we set off for Kho Toa which was apparently ment to be a quiet island where people went to relax and get there diving qualifications
