Honfleur: This morning, the room was filled with sunlight and it woke us up at 6am. We took our time getting up and dressed before heading out to Amanda's B&B cafe for a delicious breakfast of croissants, fresh baguette avec beurre et confiture, fresh coffee with warm milk and homemade apple juice - Honfleur's specialty.
Her son Ben spent some time helping us try to set up that darned sim card. No luck.
We gave up and set off at 10 to do the quick Jetty walk around they quay and see the Eugene Boudin (boo-dan) museum. Then we headed down to the St. Catherine church and bell tower. However, service was in progress and the bell tower was closed for lunch until 2 pm. Not wanting to miss anything on the itinerary, we decided to postpone our drive to Bayeux so we could see Clocher St. Catherine at 2 pm. To take advantage of 2 hours, we backtracked to the Produits Gribouille to buy fresh jus du pomme and des confitures and headed back to the car to drive up cote de Grace lookout. Then we headed back to the bell tower, to the most anti-climatic sight - a bunch of religious artifacts. No stairs, no bell, no view. Boo! We had a good laugh over it, and headed off to Bayeux.
