Finally after a week of waking up and rushing out the door, we got to sleep in this morning. We even got bonus sleep time with four one hour car rides! We made our first stop at the Panmure Island lighthouse, the lighthouse was being worked on as we walked around inside and it was really neat to see the actual lighthouse being built around you. The climb up to the top was a different story, good thing it's leg day everyday! The overall climb was enough to keep Abby down on the ground so that is why she isn't seen in our cover photo. After we left, (and another hour drive) we stopped at the second lighthouse of the day, Point Prim. The lighthouse is one of the few round lighthouses in Canada. We also made our way to the beach and walked along to see what we could find during the low tide, mostly dead jellyfish... poor little guys... so after our lighthouse adventure we headed back to our cottage for dinner, one word, delicious. We hung around the cottage for a bit and after about an hour or so the leaders got scared of all the noises and screams and decided that we needed to get outside fast. We headed back to the Cavendish Boardwalk and grabbed more Cow's ice cream, except me again. And once we all finished our ice cream we made plans to head to a little amusement park near the cabin. We raced down slides, (I came in 3rd, go me!) road the roller coaster, drove bumper boats (I soaked Averil then got soaked by Shannon as payback.) and best of all, go kart racing, it was amazing feeling the wind rushing against my screaming face as I turned 90° to the right, passing someone and then zooming past them while laughing as if there was actually a competition. It was so exciting and thrilling trying to hone my Mario Kart skills and trying not to hit the wall on that one turn that you know you can nail. To end off our night we headed back to the beach and sat on the sand and star gazed, Shannon and Abby knew tons of constellations and it was fun to listen to them try to figure out which star is which. All and all this whole day was definitely my favourite and I'm so glad I got to blog and write about all the crazy things that happened today, tomorrow we have another late morning but not too late, we have to get packing, we'll be coming home soon!
