Hello!! was not planning to write anything just yet, but already has happened after 2 days I thought I might need to put something down for my own benefit as much as anybody elses!! I'm absolutely loving Delhi at the moment. Everyone is very friendly and laid back but there is so much noise, colour and smells all around that you could sit on the same street for a whole day and not get bored! the family I'm staying with are very lovely. There daughter, who it turns out is 15 and not 10 as it says in my information which caused some confusion on arrival, is particularly fun, an amazing artist and, of course, completely bilingual...
Anyways, have already seen two temples (no idea what religion) and a festival already as well as spending the morning in the hospital today. This is a great little charity hospital, which offers far more services then I thought, and is run by a man known simpley as The Colonel with a mustache and a turban more than worthy of such a title. I was down in one of the day care rooms/dispensary today doing a vaccination clinic for babies. Needless to say, it was more than a little different from what I'm used to. They don't even bother with a waiting room as whoever is at the front of the "queue" shouting the loudest is the one that gets seen first. I was given the job of registering them all from the prescriptions given to them by the doctor and, from that experince, it would seem that the quality of doctors' handwriting is somewhat a worldwide issue....!
Love you all and will try to update shortly :)
