Today was our last day in Toronto and we really only had the morning left to explore, so we decided to visit the Toronto Aquarium. We got there before it opened, so to beat the crowds. Here we saw some amazing fish, sharks, stingrays etc. I even got the chance to touch a hardback crab! We couldn't get over the different species of sharks and one particularly took our fancy - it looked like it had a chainsaw on the end of it's mouth! Naturally we found 'Nemo' and 'Dory' and there heaps of different species of jellyfish.
Once we left the aquarium, we walked slowly back to our hotel, where we came across all these cars that were highly modified performance cars going into the convention centre. They were pretty flash and quite noisy!
We then got back to our hotel and finished our packing and checked out at midday. We then got a taxi or should I say a really flash big vehicle to the airport.
We were actually about an hour and half early before we could check in, but as always, there is so much to watch at airports. After checking in we ambled our way to our gate, which always seems to be the very last gate!
The flight to Vancouver was a bit bumpy, but we arrived early, but then had to wait to get a taxi into the city. Once in the city and dropped off at our hotel (a room on the 26th floor with a view out to the harbour to watch the sun set!), we walked down Robson Street to get some dinner. We ended up having Chinese where the guy who served us thought we were from Britain! That was twice in one day that someone thought we were English!
Then it was back to the hotel for bed! Was a long day and different time zones. Looking forward to see Vancouver in more detail tomorrow!
