All in all a very lazy day today, but after tomorrow our days will be busy with diving so we're enjoying it while we can.
They came and served us a wonderful Thai meal of soup (made with a local grass, similar to yellow-grass), yellow curry seafood, steamed fish, cashew chicken, stir fry broccoli and of course - rice. Dessert is almost always fruit, and they had created a beautiful fruit plate with heart-shaped pieces. Earlier in the day they delivered a floral arrangement too!
Evenings here are never boring as you never know what house guests may appear. Tonight we had the house lit because they were going to be arriving with dinner; Colin was hanging out in a lounger on the deck when he looked up at the eve of the house to see a 'tokay' or 'large house gecko'. This guy is freaky! Apparently they can get to 15" long but this fella is only about 6". We have a regular, small gecko that always lives on the living room wall... After dinner Colin went to the kitchen and freaked out when he was startled by our kitchen frog staring at him from a shelf near the kitchen sink! Shortly after I went into the washroom to find the same orangey guy that I came across earlier in the middle of the night in the bathroom sink! None appear to be afraid and all let me take pictures (even with a flash) without moving so they're ok with people.
