Hello hello everyone!
Poor pazzy is a tiny bit fragile today so this is unlikely to be a very long message. I have three words for you..Full Moon Party! But mroe on that later
Firstly, spent a day in bangkok trying unsucessfully to get some shopping done-couldnt find anything of what i wanted because they are all in teh night markets and my bus for koh phan gan left at 7.50.
As it happens i was kicking myself cos i was late for my bus. left myself just over an hour to get to the bus station from town centre but didnt realsie just how bad bangkok traffic was and after starting on a busd and going about 500 metres in 15 mins i quickly jumped off, backtracek allt he way and got on a metro to somewhere a little nearer. Jumped in a cab to maek the journey with only 13 mins to go and made vroom vroom and horns beeping noises and loud sighing whenever there was traffic to highlight my urgency to my non english speaking driver and got to teh station seven mins late and then spent another few mins trying to find the right departure gate (why did no one tell me that tehre are 2 bus terminals in that station, argh!!) and thank god the bus was still there.i was sweaty but amazingly thankful that it had either waited for me (unlikely) or was running late (almost certainly true).
Was vip bus so tahnk god was a dream to go on, fell asleep within half hour and had realy good sleep, was like a plane-had a stewardess who served food, snacks, coffee in the morniong, all witha goofy smile (she was v v goofy!!)
Met two swedish girls, Molin and Therese who were v lovely so when i got to Koh Phanghan we decided to get a room together and was v good since it was reasonable prices. The highlight hjopwever was that I met up with two girls...Nicky and Abi (who i knew from london) and have spent teh last few adys with them.
Cos the islands roads are so crap, travel is extortionate so we rented a jeep and started driving...ie im the only one who could drive so i was driving. It was...interesting, if you call extreme four by four driving interesting. Most roads are unsealed dirt tracks with crevasses and potholes that could seriously damage your jeep (and defintieyl damaged our spines) and the hlls are so so steep its crazy!Atr one stage before i figured out how to use the four wheel drive gearstick we started going up a hill at 30mph in third, dropped ghear to second, tehn first and then the jeep stopped and started going backwards.Only then realised my handbrake didnt work, scary scary stuff when you are halfway around a hairpin bend up a steep cliff!Thankfully figured it out without any damage and then realised off roading might e dangerous but its fun fun fun when youre driving and sliding!
As for full moon party lets say that the alcohol is too cheap, i am too lightweight and i was sick, passed out for an hour in the sleeping area on the beach, froicked away the night dancing like a lune with flourescent paint and glowsticks and had a great time but my god i was so drunk. Its really not funny, there are those of you that would be v proud of me!As for me, i ust feel ill now! :(
Heading to malasysia tomoro hopefully for some diving and chilling since the beaches here zare amazing to look at but actuallyfull of rubbish and...pee.yes every nite people always line up and wee into the sea because the toilets are too far away and they charge money while the sea is v near and cheap!no wonder its so salty!
