Day 27

Early jog on the beach at Sawtell, Sunday bacon and eggs and then headed south again. First a stop at the Butterfly Farm near Coffs. Drove through Nambucca Heads then detoured to small coastal village of South West Rocks. Found paradise at the National Parks site at Arakoon just opposite the old Trial Bay Goal built from local granite blocks in the 1880's. Views to the bay and mountain ranges to the north just magnificent. Spotted whales in the bay. Walked through the old goal and wondered at the hardships of the poor inmates. Dinner tonight BBQ gourmet Angus beef sausages with mashed sweet potatoes, peas and beans with home made ice cream. Sounds of the sea crashing on the beach and rocks.
