Day 32
On the road south early today stopping at Taree on the Manning River. An emotional visit to my 87 year old step mother Joan Robinson at Karingal Nursing Home. Next to my late grandparents old house at 106 Albert Street, my grandfather Jack Robinson's picture theatres and dairy farm and my late father and Joan's house. Walked the grounds of St Peters Anglican Church by the river and located the plaques of Donald Robinson (my father) and Jack and Olive Robinson (my grandparents). All at rest together once again. Then to rural Glenthorne on the other side of the river to find the old 1860's house of James Robinson our first direct ancestor to settle in the Manning region, the old house now beautifully restored. Drove further south to village of Bulladelah for a cafe lunch, then onto the motorway past Newcastle and beyond.
