A mixed weather day. We've had heavy rain, strong winds and sun. TomTom as usual grossly misled us, taking us far out of our way. I really don't know how they get away with such dreadful mapping.
The Aires Book of Spain and Portugal isn't beyond reproach, either. On several occasions it's descriptions have been wildly inaccurate. I for one can no longer cover 5 kms - uphill, to the town - in 15 minutes. Instead, we strolled along the cliff top and , on our way back, stopped at the bar in the photo for a glass of red wine. €2 a glass and no tapas - decent Rioja though.
2.6.2012. What a night - we knew that even with the wedges we weren't level. Quite how unlevel we didn't realise. Before leaving this morning for Burel we tried every possible parking spot and could'nt find anywhere level. Anyone who thinks that being level isn't important should try raising one side of their bed - a couple of books would do the job!.
Mid-evening, three maroons were set off. No ship in distress that we could see.
