Hello Welsh Wanderers. I hope all is going well and you are having an incredible amount of fun in India. It has been cold and raining here today and all the birds are diseased (the winged ones not Jo and Meriel). I got really thirsty today and sat waiting for a nice cup of tea for hours before they reminded me you had left (god I hope we get a new researcher again soon or I may die of thirst!). Like your site, nice to be able to keep track of your travels and a special thanks for capturing a really nice photo of me at your leaving do clearly in mid-fart mode. From your list of things to do in India there is watch a Bollywood movie, eat a super hot curry for breakfast and get a henna tattoo on your hands - quite mild challenges really (clearly nothing to do with me then!) but all require photographic evidence. I will check back soon and see what you have both been up to, but remember if you go swimming in the Ganges keep your mouth firmly closed or you may swallow part of someones dead aunty! x

hi, glad you got away safely.
finally gotten a reply from my friend in Japan.
she just uses Yahoo album pages for her travel diary - but this looks better and is quicker to use.
will add it to my favourites!
take care
Michael + Felicity.
Paul And Rachael
Hi all, finally got to an internet cafe - we're in Pushkar, Rajasthan in the middle of the desert. It is built around a sacred lake (or oasis in the desert). Gandhis ashes were thrown into the water here. Full of bazaars and pushy priests. and old hippy types.
Its Day 5 - We've been through Delhi, Agra (The Taj Mahal) and Jaipur (the Pink City). We will update you all on photos and add to our diaries as go on. A quicker internet connection may be needed for a big bulk load of photos. Rachael was conned by priest asking for donations after performing a karma ceremony at one of the ghats on the lake - placing petals in the water - R: In my defence - I was only conned as Paul left me to defend myself against a very pushy man!!
Taj was pretty amazing though very expensive, compared to other attractions which were a few pence to visit, it was ten pounds to get in!!!
Will keep you posted with more regular updates once we're settled into our stride. Which is pretty laid back. P&R. xxx
Colin
....are you still in the departure lounge at Heathrow??
I've not seen a 'foreign landscape' yet. I reckon it was just an excuse to give up work!!! (Mind you, working with Meriel & Jo!!!)
