Since our last blog, we have done and seen many things. We had a day at a spa resort, which included mud and hot springs, jacuzzi, swimming pools etc. That was follwed by a day at a water theme park called Vinpearl. That was a really good day and we took the cable car back to the hotel.
We decided to take the daytime train from Nha Trang to Hoi An. It was a nine hour trip and we arrived at this beautiful ancient town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage town. It is stunnungly beautiful and we decided to extend our stay by another 5 days as the resort is great and we can get the free shuttle bus to the beaches.
There are so many restaurants and bars in town that you are spoilt for choice. Visited an old temple called My Son yesterday. It was built in the 10th Century but the Americans decided to bomb it into oblivion for no other reason than they thought the Viet Cong were hiding in it. President Nixon should have been indicted for War crimes from what we have witnessed in this lovely country.
Have booked a trip to Cham Islands tomorrow, which sounds great and we will probably be doing our last snorkelling trip of this tour. We check out of Hoi An next Monday and moving north to Hue, where we will stay for 3 days. The hotel is called the Pilgimage Village hotel and it looks superb!
