Happy lunar new year!
Bangkok? This is my 5th visit here and Marion's second and it is without doubt the most amazing city. As soon as you arrive, you are thrown into a city of 12 million people and a very different culture. It has everything to offer and is the most exciting city in the world, in our view.
Spent the day at the temples and the Royal Palace including the reclining Buddha and the emerald Buddha before venturing into Chinatown for the new year celebrations. We both wore red, which the locals appreciated and the atmosphere was brilliant. Like everything else in this city, it was a wonderful assault on the senses.
Bangkok should be on everyone's cities to visit before you die list. It really is addictive!
