Paul and Laura on Tour
Friday 18th - Again a not very exciting day, heading up to our final destination in NZ, Christchurch. Arrived there just after lunch and did fun things like put some washing on! We're having to think about packing and cleaning out the van etc, not fun!
Saturday 19th - Went into the city on the bus, parking is supposed to be tricky! Arrived in catherdral square in the centre. It's supposed to be a very English city and it is! The catherdral was impressive, we went to see the botanical gardens and even went on a punt in the river Avon that runs through the city! Was a really nice day to explore the city. Went back to a pub near the campsite to get some tea and watch the All blacks v Australia! Was really good fun, and they won which was a good job or the locals might not have been as friendly! We left shortly after the dodgy rock duo came on as the evening entertainment!
Sunday 20th - Got up to....clean the van and pack! We fly to Auckland first thing monday morning then on to Fiji on tuesday so needed to get the van ready to return it. We'll both be sad to leave bertha and the freedom she gave us. A campervan is an awesome way to see New Zealand and I think we'd both recommend it to anyone.
If this is the last time you hear from us then thanks for reading our journals and looking at the pics! Hope they've been interesting and we'll even show you more on request when we're home! Until then take care and we'll see you soon.
