Today began bright and early in the morning. I woke up at 7:45 and left the house at 8:00 to enjoy my first traditional English breakfast. I of course feasted on cereal, fruit, and coffee, and then trotted off to my first finance class.
The class lasted two hours, and amazingly I managed to stay awake and alert. Dr. Linck has a reputation of calling on students at random moments to answer unanswerable questions. The fear coupled with my two cups of coffee helped me survive my first day of class. After class ended we went back to the dining hall for coffee and cookies. A few girls and I decided to do a little shopping and I bought an Oxford rugby polo. I have a feeling this will become my new lounge shirt and I will probably wear holes in it before I return home.
The rest of the day consisted of a nap, some studying, dinner, and a group movie. We bought a grill today and plan on cooking out tomorrow to celebrate America opening a can of whoop arse on the British. I don't think the locals will be too thrilled with our festivities, but we're bloody Americans....we don't care! Anyway hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July. I shall miss the fireworks and 6 miles of hell known as the Peachtree. I miss you all.
Love,
Kathryn
