After spending my first day touring the magnificent Oxford University, I have an overwhelming urge to set my passport on fire! Don't worry Mom and Dad, I am only kidding.....
The past few days have been a hectic blur. We toured Brussels and Bruge in Belgium where we dined on delicious chocolates and waffles, the ideal Belgium cuisine. Bruge was the more beautiful, historic city with stunning architecture and art. Bruge is also famous for it's lace, thus, giving me another option for the making of my wedding dress. Upon ending our tours in those two cities, we took a ferry ride from France across the English Channel and into the one and only United Kingdom.
Our second day was spent in London, where we explored the financial district, the Thames River, and London Bridge. We saw many famous movie places, rode on the London tube, relaxed in an English pub, and played the tourist role by blocking traffic to take pictures. After the numerous bomb scares that day, we were forced to return to Oxford earlier than planned, but were treated to a nice dinner by the UGA travel department! Cheers.
Today we went on a tour of Oxford to become familiar with our surroundings. We walked around Trinity College, which will be the college we study at during our stay. The buildings and gardens on campus cannot be described in words, thus I will be posting pictures shortly to give you all a glimpse of perfection. We were also shown all the Harry Potter movie sites which was probably the most exciting part of the day. The weather has not been too friendly since our arrival. We got stuck in a monsoon yesterday and today at drizzled the entire time. Such is England!
I miss you all and I hope you will enjoy reading these posts. I will try not to make them too boring! Hopefully I will have some pictures posted soon. Until next time darlings. Cheerio.
Love,
Kat
