Lisa and the girls booked a rafting trip (again) today. Apparently the last trip that we did was level 2 and there was a level 3-4 on offer from Candidassa which has a higher adrenaline level for the participants which the girls wanted. I decided to have a more relaxing day by the pool and waved them goodbye at 9.00AM Later, a nice English couple invited me to have some pasta with them and they even made me some dessert! The beer they offered me really would have topped it off nicely but I'd already just ordered a mango juice so had to pass that up! They returned about 2.30 ready for a post rafting massage which was included in the package. It's a tough life but someone's gotta do it! While we were sitting in the outside spa I noticed the head of a man looking over the outside wall of the resort on the beach side. He was there for ages and seemed to be staring at us. I wondered what he was doing and tried to avoid eye contact but after about 15 mins I looked across again. There he was holding up a watch in his hand! I almost bought one then and there as he seemed so patient!
Decided to return to the Warung Nyoman across the road. It's open air, darkish and was run by the family of one of the drivers that we had. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Even with a generous tip the price was way less than the resort! One of the family even offered us some palm wine which I quite enjoyed. No charge for this, what lovely people!
Met another Scottish couple from the resort there and chatted to them most of the evening. Also, an Aussie lady that had moved here 15 years ago and told us how, when she broke her leg, all the villagers gathered together to help her.

Chriso Glad you're getting to know the local people. They really are a lovely race the Balinese. I could do with a new watch! If you see any decent gold rollex can you grab me one? :)
