Today we are off to South Kuta and we sadly said goodbye to all the nice people we had met at Candidassa. We had Kutut again as a driver and a pleasant drive down to Kuta. The road down was probably the best that we'd encountered for the entire trip. It was dual carriageway most of the way but still right hand turning lanes seem to be only a suggestion of what could be done rather than what must be done as in our own country. We went straight ahead quite often from the right hand turning lane! Kuta was hot and humid and full of traffic and fat people. The size of the people seemed to increase the further south we went. (including myself) The Bali Dynasty is a lovely international style hotel with a huge lobby and covers 2.5 hectare. There are several pools, a waterside and a swim up bar as well as 6 restaurants. Should be able to find something here to eat! The hawkers seem no worse (so far) than in Ubud and so far I am proud of myself for not having bought anything. My ear is giving me grief now unfortunately. After snorkelling earlier in the trip I had trouble hearing from my right ear possibly due to wax on the eardrum but it's now very painful and I'm taking anti-imflammatory's to ease the pain which is like toothache! Looks like some overseas medical treatment will be required!

Chris Waller Sounds like antibiotics rather than anti-inflammatories might be the way to go!
Justina Hi there just caught up on your blog sounds like you are doing a lot of drinking and eating so a bit more weight on the plane coming home!! Sounds like you are trying out all the activities and having a great time,I enjoy some of your comments and the humour attached!!
Kerry Hi Paul - hope you get your ear sorted out quickly. I returned from Vanuatu with an ear problem, thought it would sort itself out, 10 days later went to the doctor by which time it was too late to fix with antibiotics and it took a couple of months to come right....at least it did though because grommets was the next alternative.....so.....get yourself to a doctor if you can! Good luck, Cheers, Kerry PS Your holiday sounds great!
Chriso I propose a toast: ears to the doctor! :) Hope it comes right quickly. Enjoy the Dynasty. The cultural evening was good there from memory, but it goes an a bit long! And those bloody drums! Aggh! Hope you manage to find something to eat. As you say: its hard, but somebody's got to do it! Keep up the good blogging.
