Carol and Gordons house is in a gated community of tasteful spacious homes set in large tree filled gardens. You can see the wetlands from their living-room and bedroom windows. There is an abundance of wildlife all around them including squirrels deer and an elusive alligator as well as several kinds of venomous snakes. As Carol is a keen gardener and indifferent cook I had already volunteered to look after our dinners. Carol guided us to the nearest grocery store. When we got back and Helen and I started cooking several items were missing! We all searched every nook and cranny everyone blaming someone else for mislaying the third bag of groceries. Eventually Phil and Gordon returned to the story where the errant bag was soon located! Dinner wine and conversation occupied the remainder of the evening. Today we strolled around the neighborhood then went for a long walk along the beach. I rescued a stranded starfish and got my feet in the Atlantic Ocean. We had a late but delicious lunch at The Salty Dog (no dogs allowed). After we got back everyone drifted off for a bit of quiet time. Am making curried cauliflower and potato with a big salad for tonights dinner. Tomorrow we drive back to Savannah where we will put Helen on a plane to Atlanta. We are going to drive to Atlanta and pick her up then go on to our cabin in The Blue Ridge Mountains.
