Journal entry brought to you by the legenday Sophmeister
Woke up, depressed that the tour had come to an end. Out of habit looked around for my glasses but couldn't find them (no suprise there..) Apparently I was talking in my sleep last night saying "I've found them, Jessie, I've found them". Bless me.
The whole day basically consisted of a long drive back to Cape Town with several chocolate and ice cream stops and also a tree climbing stop which was fun. We dropped Paloma off at her guesthouse in Somerset West, promised to keep in touch then arrived at Ashanti Lodge where we were to spend the remainder of our stay in Cape Town. I was really sad to have finished the tour. It was brilliant and I want to say a BIG thank you to Keith for putting up with us. We really appreciated it and both had an amazing time. In commemoration I have written a poem, which I will put on at a later date when I have a bit more time.
We sorted out our laundry because our clothes were in desperate need of a wash, bought some food and then met our room mates. There is an American guy called Dennis, who is very sarcastic and funny, two lovely Danish girls called Steena and Kia and a German woman called Nicole. It felt very good to be back and see Joe the barman and be in a familiar place but I am so glad we toured up the Garden Route and didn't stay in Cape Town the whole time. We saw some sights that were out of this world and experienced so many things in such a short time.
Sorry this journal entry is so short but we really didn't do anything exciting!
I hope you are all well and not missing us too much. I miss all of you and can't wait to bore you in person with all the stories and pictures. Although I am vetoing some of the stuff!
Please keep leaving messages it is so nice to hear from you. We love hearing what is going on back home.
Love to you all,
Sophie xxx
