Sophie And Tami Were Here
Sunday 13th May
Journal entry brought to you by (an emotionally uprooted) Tami
After getting up today, Sophie went horseriding round the valley. I, as many of you are aware, have a phobia of horses, so I did NOT participate in this activity. Instead I played cards with Brian, Steve and James. It was a very good morning, nice and relaxing, and gave me some time to get to know a few more people from our new bus, who all seem awesome to be honest (-: Then on the way out to Wellington, Jimmy had to make a pitstop because I really needed the loo. That was quite funny. We also watched Click, which made me cry my eyes out. It is such a lame movie, although I do love Adam Sandler, but the bit with his dad......sob sob. It was a Pearl Harbour esque moment. Brian and Steve thought it was hilarious that I'd cried and ripped it out of me all night. I don't care that I'm emotionally soft. Shows I'm a sensitive soul...ha ha. Anyhoo when we got to Base Backpackers in the city, Sophie and I got a room with Brian, Steve, Jamie and Mike, and decided to go out. We headed between a few bars first of all but there was nothing much happening in any of them, being a Sunday night. We (being the 6 from our room, Ricky, Staines and Dan)Â then stumbled across this kareoke bar, and there weren't many people in there so we thought we'd go and liven it up....and we had the BEST night ever!!! Soooooo much fun I can't even tell you! I watched the guys perform various tracks from Especially for You, Kylie and Jason; to Wannabe, the Spice Girls; and various Oasis tracks. Once I'd got my confidence up a bit, I also joined in and sang Hopelessly Devoted, Killing Me Softly and My Sacrifice, then dueted Barbie Girl and Angels. We had soooo much fun! Although I haven't uploaded the pictures onto here yet, you can click on the link below to see some snaps: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3699&l=15d16&id=503796050 Anyhoo, having had an awesome night, we tumbled into bed at about 4am....or half past....or somewhere around there, knowing we had to get up to catch a ferry at 6.30am....not impressed.... hehe! Great day though! Love the new bus!
