Hi everybody, Sorry its late. We're just getting ready to leave Vienna to go to Bratislava - Slovakia to meet our Yerma and her mate. On the way here we drove through some amazing countryside, up tiny tracks and up these massive hills with loads of winding roads through forests and fields. Nothing on driving from Carlton to Rotherham on the M1 though. HahaVienna was incredible; it would be a completely different experience if the football wasn't on. The whole city centre was shut down for the fan-zone area where the big screens are and everyday it's just rammed with people, its crazy on match days. We did see a bit of the city, away from the fanzone, we went to the shopping area and it's very similar to London. The Highlight of Vienna was definitely the Spain v Italy quarterfinal. We bought a flag and sum Spain shirts and planned to watch the match at the fanzone, but we got down there early and decided to get a tram to the stadium just to see what it was like, on the way down we were saying 'bet the tickets were goin for about 600 euros each.' As soon as we got of the tram this Canadian guy came up offering us tickets, 200euros each, we were a bit wary but thought it was worth the risk. After looking at some other fans tickets to make sure the others were real we went to the bank, it would only let Pab take 370 out which the bloke accepted for 2 tickets. They were 180 each face value so we didn't do too bad. The atmosphere was unbelievable around the city and especially in the ground. Not too much noise from the Italians afterwards though. Hahahahahahahaha. Check the videos to see the winning penalty just before the battery ran out on the camera and a funny 1 of Pab a bit drunk in the fanzone!!!!On the campsite we needed to fill the water up and empty the waste tank. We had moved everything away from the van so Pab could drive towards the service area but forgot to unplug the electricity. The plug came off the end of the cable which these Norwegian lads next to us found well funny, until Hayley picked the cable up with what Pab thought were live wires hanging out until he noticed that it'd tripped the box out supplying about 6 other camping pitches. Oops. The weather has been brilliant in every country averaging about 30 degrees everyday, we finally bundled a load of washing together (hard with only 2 people) and hung it out to dry in the glorious sun………………. not for long though as soon as we'd finished hanging it out a huge black cloud covered the sky; we managed to get the washing in just before the massive thunderstorm with raindrops the size of our heads. Hahahaha. It only lasted about 20mins though the sun was back out at its best.Speaking about thunderstorms, we watched the Germany v Turkey game in the campsite bar, we walked down in the sunshine n sat outside, only for 10mins though then the heavens opened again. We carried on watching it inside the bar, which was starting to flood because the rain was that heavy. The T.V kept going off and the lights were flickering, then we had a complete black out, sat in a bar with a load of Germans not too impressed that the game had gone off on 84mins at 1-1, they managed to get an update of their second goal on the net, then the tele came back on for the third goal.We managed to see the match to full time but still couldn't go outside back to the van because the rain was just getting worse so we sat in darkness watching the lightning n listening to the thunder, it was sooooo loud, then we figured it wasn't going to get any better so we took a run for the van which was shaking with the thunder. We watched the Spain Russia game in the fanzone which was mental. It was absolutely pissin it down before the game, bad idea for Hayley to put instant fake tan on her legs, which comes off in the rain. Every1 was wearin these cheesy ponchos that they were giving out.We met 3 English lads also pretending to be Spanish. We watched the match with them and got very pissed. Probably be on some Austrian TV channel singing made up Spanish chants in English. WE went to the centre yesterday to watch the final. You wouldn't believe how many Germans there was. Out numbered the Spanish big time, couldn't believe out of so many people Pab actually managed to find the three lads that we'd met up with for the Russia game, then this group of Spanish fans that we'd also been with for the Russia game found us, n we formed a little Spanish section in the crowd n tried to out sing the Germans hahaha. On the way down to the fan zone, we were on the tram and we were the only Spanish fans on it. Got some right stick off loads of drunken Germans. It was crazy after the match, big conga lines with about 100 people in them. The Germans disappeared pretty quickly. We all came back to the van for more drinks, Mike, one of the lads we'd met picked up my guitar and started playing it, his mates didn't even know he could play. Was well funny, we some how managed to get 5 people in the van last night. Sees you all later!!!!Luvs ya x x x x
p.s. We will put the videos on later
