Hi everyoneAmsterdam was great, stayed for 4 nights in a well nice campsite, was like a little travelling community. In the middle of the campsite there was a little barn for goats, sheep, chickens and a pony, as you can see from the pics there was a well freaky goat, it was huge and dopy and looked like it had been on the weed. Pabs also made friends with a massive cock….eral which wouldn't leave us alone because we made the big mistake of feeding it. A tip when staying on a campsite in a campervan………… Don't leave the light on and the window open at night; we got invaded by millions of stupid little flies which turned into a fly massacre with me n Pab armed with flip flops. Also in the Amsterdam campsite, we picked up a few other travellers, in the form of ANTS, they made a nest round the window above the cooker and invaded all our cupboards, so we went to a local supermarket and bought a tub of something with a big ant on it with a cross through it, looked sensible until we got a Dutch man on the Campsite to translate what the powder was for……………… pesticide for the garden. After our stressful time trying to get rid of the ants Pab needed a beer, so we biked down to the shops and found the cheapest beers on the shelf. 3 beers later and we found out why it was so cheap………. It was non alcoholic. If you look on the pics there is one of the sky with lots of black dots, these were loads n loads of little birds that swarmed the sky above our campsite. Anyway Amsterdam is a real eye-opener, Hayley decided to run a round in circles shouting "it was a man, it was a man" when she saw some bloke walking out of a tranny's window. The night before we left Amsterdam we met a couple in a bar, Kath from Australia and Brad from Ipswich, after a few drinks with them and some space cake we started playing a game called time the perv in the red light district. We timed 4 men who went in the same window and placed bets on how long they'd last, she must have been good coz they all lasted about 6 minutes. We left Amsterdam on Monday and headed to Chemnitz in East Germany, however we only got half way, when we stopped to fill up in a total garage and couldn't get the van to start back up. We spent 2 hours sat at the pump waiting for a recovery van, when it arrived the man hit the starter motor with a hammer and the van started. (Very technical stuff). It was getting late and it was another 3 hour drive to Chemnitz so we found the nearest campsite which ended up being the German equivalent of Barnsley, full of inbred people, not a word of the queens and in the middle of nowhere. We are writing this sat out side a Peugeot garage in a place called Kirchheim waiting for the new starter motor to come (10 in the morning), goin to cost us 400 friggin euros, got to sleep here in the car park tonight.Havin loads of fun though and the weather is MINT.Speak to you all soon Love everyone Pab and Hayl x
