Hi everyone! This is our last night in Bangkok before we travel up to Chaing Mai. We've been busy being tourists! We went to a place called Dusit Park which is a royal park next to their equivilent of Buckingham Palace. Dusit Park was a nice break form the usual pollution of the Bangkok streets. They like to show off the royal families various collections of which most are housed in Dusit Park. There was an impressive Teak Mansion once home to a past King who only lived there for five years. We've also been to see the Grand Palace and the Emerald Budda, The Grand Palace was grand and beautiful but a bit boring after a while since you couldn't go inside. We've seen a lot of temples now one Wat Pho held a massive reclining Golden Buddah I think this one was the best coz it was so different the others it's a case of once you've seen one...! Staying in a different hotel tonight and going to meet the other 10 people that are going up to Chaing Mai, with us! Very excited bout this trip, get to ride an elephant!!! Will be nice to leave Bangkok and see some more of Thailand, Bangkok is an amazing city, but is also very dirty and smelly! and it's unbelievably hot, even though we haven't seen much sun. The Khao San Road is absolutely brilliant, especially at night, full of backpackers and Thai teenagers and of course the lady-boys! There is so much to look at on the market stalls, and Owens got very good at haggling the price down!! We have also been to MBK which is a big indoor shopping centre, but everything is laid out like market stalls. Had dinner in a place where Owen really enjoyed paying for the luxury of cooking his own food and Sarah didn't!! Hope everyone is ok! Love from us xxxx
