Today I was kissed by a leprechaun!
So its two days before St Patrick's day and we are going to an Irish festival in West Palm Beach. We arrived at the outdoor amphitheatre and I discovered that I was really out of place. I was surrounded by a sea of green. The stalls all around the field all decked out with their green and Irish décor. There were green shirts, green top hats, green beads, green shamrocks - and everyone from babies to grannies had something on for the occasion - and guess what? I did not have a stitch of green on me! My pink and purple outfit really stood out! I had to make a plan - and fast!
The first addition to my ensemble was a pair of green glasses, with the eyepieces cut in the shape of shamrocks. Putting these on turned the world green for me, now I could see the world as the Irish do. Next, I needed a green shirt so I went hunting. I found a little stall that would print the design of your choosing while you waited. So I chose my design and eagerly awaited the final product.
With my newly printed green shirt and shamrock glasses on I was almost ready to go. Now came the difficultdecision: should I add a funky hat (you know one of those tall green fluffy ones?) or should I go for a temporary tattoo on the cheek? Should I take the leap and get the tattoo (that would stay on my face for at least 5 days)? Could I survive looking like a silly twelve year old for the rest of the week? Yeah, well why not - I look like a twelve year old most of the time anyway! With the addition of a green clover on my left cheek, my outfit was now complete.
As I left the tattoo booth with my brand new temporary tattoo, I was a leprechaun! I just had to have a photograph taken with him! So, I gave my camera to Andy, who suggested that I pose by giving the leprechaun a kiss on the cheek which I did. However, before Andy could take my picture - and before I knew what was happening - Mr Leprechaun with the lumo green beard muttered to himself "I can do better than that," and he kissed me right on the lips! I was not expecting that! I blushed bright red and started giggling! My leprechaun then scattered glittery shamrocks all over me and (in true leprechaun style) disappeared, leaving me behind with clovers in my hair and heat in my cheeks!
