ok the very fast and final installment of our travel blog- i cant quite believe it is the end! so many awesome experiences had, so many friends made and so much fun has been had!!to sum up the last week, well we decided that we wanted to spend it with our friends in Mae Moh as opposed to getting a tan! We had a wonderful week, starting with the sleeper train up to the north where we sat and watched a beautiful sunset. We went strainght to Mae Moh with our friend Nung and everyone was so happy to see us!As we werent teaching we stayed with our lovely friend Mem and her family, it was so nice to stay in a home and not a guesthouse for a change, we helped out cooking and playing with the kids and had her motorbike for the week so took some lovely rides around the countryside. Every night turned into a party and the highlight being Jacks birthday, as it was the same day as the Kings! fireworks and candles, good food and all of us back together again was fantastic! We also did an overnight trip and hired out a karaoke boat, the same sort me and chris had been muttering obscenties about in kanchanaburi in which some awful awful singers and blasting out karaoke up and down the river until 3am. So in essence, we became what we hated for a night, a guilty indulgence as it were.. and had a pretty excellent time! It seems no one could remove me and Mem from the karaoke, and even chris gave us a tune! it had a really sweet sleepover area up a ladder where everyone put down pillows and duvets to kip on. 3.30am, karaoke off, bedtime. 6.00am, karaoke on again!!!! oh dear the whisky appeared again and the music was LOUD! A very funny day, and topped only by the Slider number two experience. ie. sliding down a hill on cardboard, but its way more fun than it sounds!I also got my hair cut for a bargain 60 pence, and a good one at that, it was slightly nervewracking as although my thai is quite good, id stupidly not learn, 'no, not that short' and resorted to pushing her hand away most times she went in for the kill! It was so lovely to see everyone again, especially my two friends Mem and Give and the group of boys including the twins Tum and Te, and Mem has the loveliest family!Really enjoyed spending time with Mon again (Mems sisters son that i wanted to adopt last time!) and he has become really confident which was great to see. The new addition Sumo was so cute, and i was having withdrawal symptoms fro great danes and certainly didnt expect one to pop up in a thai village! We went to Mook (my 'sister)s thai dancing 'comp' which was great but they didnt seem to announce a winner?!Claire you would have loved it! Ok we only have one and a half days left so i am going tov go now and enjoy it! got into Bangkok at 5am with 2 hours sleep this morning so we are running on sugar!love you all lots and lots and see you soon! mum and dad x2 i wont be on the internet again but you can txt me for flight updates! 11.40am flight, get into heathrow 9pm sunday night,. see you then!!!
