DAY 6:
After out overnight stay the atrium apartment with victor as our host we walked to the bus stop and caught the local bus to debregen. Had a slight Aussie moment when a savage garden song started to play through the buses speakers. Passed through some very fertile farming country with lush green fields and sheep that have tails !
After a few hours in town, there is a beautiful square, enjoyed a lunch of crepes filled with pork mince, managed to find a chocolate shop that sold the delicious chocolate covered cookies. It was then onto the train for Maramures region, Romania.
Boarder control leaving Hungary was very ridged wanted a good look at the passports and travel history. The train travelled through some very poor areas of Romania. People are working with hand tools and horse and cart to do the farm work. Fields extent right to the back , no room is spared for a flower bed only plants that produce food are grow. The house are in various states, some are modernish 2 story others are in a state of disrepair and any colour of paint is able to used in combination on one building.
Arrived at the home stay in a rural area of mamamures region near the Romanian / Ukraine boarder, in time for a delicious meal prepared by the women of the house. Looking forward to exploring the area further tomorrow.
