30/08/2010Heart is where the city is . . .?!Ended up checking into City Heart a place with a rooftop cafe and sat having tea with the owner. I wandered around the town all day, saw it all, it's not as big as I hoped the lake to be. But it is lovely here, very homely, no westerners, it's an Indian holiday place.I sat learning Hindi numbers with the kids in the square while drinking chai, they all thought it was so funny, poor little white girl learning to count! 29/08/2010Chug chug chug . . .Overnight train to Rishikesh, I braved the sleeper train, which was fab, 3tiers I was on the top and a group of young guys who are engineers were in the beds around, I just popped on my ipod and slept, at 6ish the guy in the bed opposite me gave me a note saying morning, so we exchanged notes in my half akip state and I ended up getting the bus with him and his mate to Rishikesh, they were my donkeys for best part of the day, we sat ...
