Hi there everybody! Well... since a lot of time has passed i guess it is time to write something about our lives in this distant continent. Not much has been happening thouhg, how to say... after Cuzco we went to see the famous Nasca-lines, which indians (or maybe aliens) designed much time ago, design that can only be seen from air, flying over them, and this is why it such a mystery why would indians ever draw something like that on the rocky sand. So we did take the small plane and fly over them. It was cool, though the ride is so ruff it really makes the inside of your stomach wanna fly too. Well, Nasca was just a few hour stop, after of which we left to Paracas, in the coast, to see some sea lions and pinguins. And we did :) There is an island which is called a poor mans galapagos within some people, which had all those fun animals plus so many birds it was almost scary. After being stolen by all these tourist loving people, first in Cuzco then in Nazca and finally in Paracas in was time to hit a little bit less touristy city called Lima. In Lima we hanged for 8 days, way too long, but after running and being super tourist some peace was wanted. Most of our time was spend in a fancy casino, kinda uncool, but they had free food (also chocolate and fruit salads!) and drinks and everything for whoever was playing and you met funny people there so i guess it was an experience. And ps, we did not loose anything, came out with +-0 after all those long nigths in the devil´s nest. So no folks, it is not the casinos fault our budget is crashing. But about happier things maybe... we did some shopping, for ourselves and for some others too, and send nice 5 kilo packages back to Iceland and Finland, so you lucky ones that are getting something, be prepared ;) and those who will not get anything this time... we are very sorry, but they perfect present was not there, you will get something supercool from Mexico or Cuba or Colombia or United States, promise. Anyhow, this morning we left Lima, took a flight to save some money, time, efford and avoid risky roads, and landed in Iquitos, the world biggest city that cannot be reached by road. It is in the middle of the jungle, filled with motorbikes (good knows why) and it has a big port with loads of boats ready to take us down the Amazon river to Leticia in Colombia. We just have to buy the hammocks, and loads of repellent, and we will be ready to go for the three day journey by the river, and hopefully catch an eyesight of some pink dolphins. No cellphones or any sort of outworld connection there, so nobody dare to get worried in the next four days. We will let you know as soon as we land to Colombia. Kisses hug and everything good, take care of yourselves, we are trying our best too!
