Now we have everything booked. The first hotel in NYC will be The Belvedere (http://www.belvederehotelnyc.com/), the hotel in St. Maarten is the Princess Heights (http://www.princessheights.com/) and our second hotel in NYC should be the New Yorker (http://newyorkerhotel.com/index.html) - gotta love how the name. I'll tell more about the hotels later, it'll be my very own review.
We haven't planned much for NY as we're spending so little time there that we'll have to see what we actually are up to after all the flying... And there isn't that much to see on St. Maarten/ St. Martin apart from the beaches and that kind of things apparently that we'll probably plan as we go. Well, we might go and visit the nearby islands. More planning will be done for the Nippon Tour 2009 (this July).
I haven't really gotten into the travelling mood yet, maybe I haven't realized yet that I'm actually going to the Caribbean... It seems so unreal as I don't really know much about the island that much. Oh, I did buy and download the St. Maarten part of Lonely Planet's Caribbean guide (along with Anguilla, Saba and St. Barths as they are close to the island and we may go on one of them for a day trip) so now I have some initial information on it.
Also, I'm a bit nervous about the US Customs nowadays. I have nothing to really worry but that's just me as I haven't been there for so long and I sometimes have a temper when tired and agitated (understament). Oh, I guess it'll go ok, this is just me worrying about everything and Miika not worrying about anything
