It's 18.15, and it's the first time this day that I'm writing in this journal, which is quite bad, but hé! I didn't have any travel time in the bus and we walked all day. My feet hurt and are burned… in the morning, breakfast wasn't really something special, and we soon got ready to start our visit to the acropolis. Before the break we went to the Pnyx-hill, where the total democratic civilians, except boys and women, could meet and discuss things. We also went to the agora, with several temples, and some stoas. We went to the theaters of Dionysus and Odeion, just situated underneath/next to the acropolis. Climbing the acropolis was very tiring, but seeing the Nikè-temple, the front portals, the Erechteion, and of course the Parthenon was real great. The sizes of all the buildings were quite confusing, as the pictures in our textbook on school don't really show the right measures. The caryatides were quite small, but the Parthenon was massive! Having made a lot of pictures, we went to the acropolis museum to gather and to be let free! A lot of hours to eat and shop, and we got €10,- each for lunch. One for some weird delicious orange-colored fruits. Yes, the mini mangos, and the rest for my souvenirs! XD beautiful Parthenon replica and the Nikè of Samothrace! After some wandering around, and a photo being taken of me and tow guys in white uniforms, (why they wanted to take a picture with me, who knows?) we went back to the museum, now for real. Pity that we couldn't take pictures inside as it was very beautiful, saw things form our Greek/kcv book and all the parts of the Parthenon. At least, what was left of it… Also many many replicas, as the British Museum has almost everything. In the museum shop, Elise bought some books, v/d Zande bought a T-shirt with the Parthenon's map, and I was stared at by another guy in a white uniform. Seriously, who are they, what are all of these guys doing here in Athens, and why the hell do they all seem to like me??? It would have been understanding to stare at me if it were the same guys as I was on the photo with, but I swear it's not the case, as I could remember they didn't have any glasses, and the staring one did… Walking back to the hotel we found out there is another demonstration, but this one seems rather non-violent. Now waiting in the kind of lobby, writing this and waiting until 19.30, when we have to gather again to go eat sth. Apparently we are going to the same restaurant as we went the first day, so I'm kinda curious for what we will be getting now, and whether it's nice or not. I think I'm going to shower now, as we have to get up really early tomorrow! So, maybe I'll write tonight XD ciao!
23.55, almost the last day here in Greece L. Dinner was quite nice, and we were in the same restaurant as the first day. As we sat there, we noticed that v. Gucht and Wedershoven were lostJ. After finishing our appetizer, we saw the other Pius X people coming to our restaurant! After waving, both sides ignored each other and refused to go to them… After desert, which was ice cream, :P, we went to see Maria, but after half a minute we had to go. Our surprise of the day was the hard-rock café, where we drank some and took pictures of famous people's stuff. Really nice, but now the teachers came check on us, and we are supposed to pack our bags for the flight tomorrow morning. Wait, it's 00.02, so today in a few hours. 6.00 am will be awaken time… we're going to the beach and to the place where Proserpina enters and comes out of the underworld to meet her mother Demeter and Hades… lalalalala. Almost home again, not very nice but I would like to chat on msn again so I hope there will be online people in my afternoons next week, as I'm not allowed to get up at 7 am every morning in the holidays. If not, I'd have to miss him for another week, will be harder than now, 'cause here I'm not bored and I'm with nice people all the time. Hope he'll understand, or else just mail, text, comment, call or krabbelJ. See ya!
