Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
Today was a sightseeing day of Kununurra. I expected it to be a busy day but we were done by lunch and that included doing some errands along the way. We went to Kelly's k*** Lookout first. It gave a good view of the area but wasn't anything amazing. Next was Ivanhoe Crossing. It used to be the main road through to Wyndham but is now closed. There is plenty of water spilling from the dam at the moment. We then drove to Valentine Spring, Middle Spring and Black Rock Falls. They are all close to each other and would be great in the wet season but aren't very appealing in the dry. So then we dropped into the Zebra Rock Art Gallery which showcases a very unique rock that is found in the region.
In the afternoon we even had time to go to Celebrity Tree Park which is named so as celebrities plant a tree when they visit. Some of the celebrities were Peter Brock, Ernie Dingo, John Farnham and Julia Gillard although her plaque was there but the tree seemed to be missing.
We also spotted the first freshwater crocodile in the lake at camp.
