Today started off a little overcast, by the time we were done breakfast the sky was blue and the sun was out! Too bad it didn't last for long, as it turns out there is a reason they call it the rain forest I'm sitting in a hammock outside my hotel room watching the rain come down.
A few of the girls went to the Jaguar rescue center today, it's run by a family from Spain they take in injured animals and house them until they can be released back into the wild, being the animal lover that I am, I opted to stay back and have a relaxing morning with Mandy (she's from Ottawa).
Relaxing? We rented bikes, it's been about 15 years since I was last on a bike and after the 2 hours of biking today I think I'll wait another 15 years to give it another shot! It still hurts my butt! We had a fun day, we biked to meet up with the rest of the group then we all headed to the next town to check out the beach, had some lunch lazed around then headed back...which was right around the time the rain started...to put it mildly we were drenched!
There is a very laid back vibe to this town no one is in a rush to do anything or get anywhere you can't help but feel relaxed here. Although that means our quick lunch at the beach took a very very very long time....
We head out tomorrow morning to our next stop by boat....
