I officially got started on my tan today! First stop breakfast there is a hostel near Manual Anotnio National Park that serves a huge breakfast for $3, it was delicious! Another travel day today! The bus picked us up at 730am to start our journey to our final destination,Quepos/Manual Antonio. It was a bumpy start to the drive leaving Monteverde but the scenery was amazing. We stopped about half way for some snacks and a short walk across a bridge, laying around and in the water under the bridge were about 19 crocodiles! They like to gather there because they can lay in the sun and use the bridge for shade. We arrived at Hotel ...

We started our morning off with a nature walk...and we all know how much I love nature...we saw a lot of trees and occasionally a moving leaf which apparently meant there were some birds around! The cloud forest is beautiful but unfortunately the animals took this morning off, our guide was very informative though so we learned a lot about the trees and other plants. Another travel day today, we left La Fortuna and headed to Monteverde. We started our journey with a 45 min boat ride across Lake Arenal there was an incredible view of the volcano from there. The next part of our journey was a very bumpy bus ride up the side of a mountain to Monteverde. Most of yesterday was spent exploring the town, with lunch in a treehouse! We also found a very unique store....which meant more shopping! Monteverde is famous for its cheese...

Word of the day incredible! Amanda and I signed ourselves up for an extreme hike today...a hike to the top of a volcano! An extreme hiker I'm not, so I was more nervous about this than repelling down a 220ft waterfall... We were picked up by Jason our guide at 7:30 this morning.
