SORRY SORRY SORRY.
I know it has been TWO weeks, not one, but I have decided to change my blogs to a fortnightly thing.

JOKING!
I would never do that to you guys. It was actually due to a total lack of internet at my house here in Durlach, forcing my humble (and usually law abiding) self to hit the streets and ninja (aka steal) wireless internet.
It worked well, but only for my facebook application on my iPhone - and it proved electrically dangerous in the rain. But anyway the whole saga began when T----Mobile offered us new updated shiny 2x mega super awesomeness speed internet at 0 cost, as long as we lengthened our contract. So Moritz naturally consulted his mummy and she said yes. So they promptly increased the speed of our humble internet twofold. Problem was that the 3 year old dust covered modem which cowered in the corner of the top floor disagreed with this proposition. It just couldn't handle the extra power of 2x super awesome epic internet, and so it decided to halt all distribution of wifi around the house.
T----Mobile took a week to send us a replacement modem. A shiny new modem to go with the shiny new internet and look out of place in the dusty corner of an old fashioned styley third floor room. So upon its arrival today I promptly set about disconnecting the faithful oldie and moving big buff new modem in. Turns out Germans make connecting a modem RIDICULOUSLY complicated. Before long there was a tangle of cables piled up in the corner which even Leonardo Da Vinci couldn't decipher. I was proud of my cable connection skills, but not so proud of the fact that the internet still refused to work.
Long story short: I gave up. But then about two hours later (after playing Fifa and Foosball with Anton and winning on a regular basis) the internet and modem decided they liked each other after all and started working again. PHEW.
Anyway. The point is I now have internet! WOHOO.
The last two weeks have actually been pretty norm I guess. Getting into the new school routine and loving it! I have real cool mates in pretty much all of my classes and I have confirmed a school trip into Normandie in June for a week! Its all happening! I was however, sick for about a week and a half in amongst it all, which was pretty rough. Frau Knaus was a total legend and bought me tissues, made me chicken soup etc. while I just chilled in bed and felt sorry for myself. So about 400 tissues and some pretty groggy mornings later I am back to my old self!
I felt guilty about not having run for a week (due to the fact I was sick), and so this week I have started a newer, longer, betterer jogging routine which takes about 30 minutes each afternoon. And I am loving it! The weather has been so nice at the moment that running up a hill and through a graveyard is actually really enjoyable. The sun has consistently shone for me for the last WEEK :)
Last weekend was pretty relaxed also, as I had nothing planned. Saturday I enjoyed a sleep in and some photography and a wee walk, followed by a night in town with the friends. I unfortunately had no money as some banking issues sprung up last week and therefore couldn't get into the clubs! All the more reason to get my account unblocked!
Sunday was pretty rough, hearing about the death of Chloe Anson over facebook and email. It was devastating to hear that such a charming and creative personality with whom I had very fond memories is now no longer on this earth. Being so far away and separated from it all makes it so hard, I felt so useless and unheard. I remember playtime with Chloe and my sister Annie in primary school at their house in Sligo Terrace. To this day that memory sticks firmly in my mind, and even more so recently now that Chloe is gone. It is a true tragedy and I dedicate this blog post (I know its not much but it is something) to Chloe Anson - she will forever be remembered.
So while I pondered heavy thoughts on Sunday afternoon, I watched some strange German TV series about fallen angels and ended up eating pizza for dinner and watching Twilight with Moritz and Anton in the evening. The pizza was INCREDIBLY tasty, which definately perked up the olde moode.
Yesterday I heard that my next hostfamily (the Reiffenrath family) have invited me to travel with them to the Spanish island of Mallorca for a week in August this summer! And their offer of a trip to Munich to watch Bayern Munchen play still stands! What a generous and cool as bunch of people!
This weekend I am headed off to Cologne to meet my Uncle Mark! I am TOTALLY PUMPED, and cant wait to visit the biggest music store in Europe with him!
So until next time AMIGOS!
Hola.
Nic OUT.

Bobbie Hello Nic. I can totally relate to you having trouble wit T-Mobile. We had a whole lot of problems with our mobile ph whilst in Europe, with them. Aaaaarrrrrrrggggggh! We said goodbye to Chloe today and the First Church was full. We took your Mum with us. She had a wonderful send-off with lots of music. We think of you often, and hope that things are ok with you. Many hugs across the oceans, B x
