tuesday 22nd aug - bangkok arrived in bangkok at 530 with the overnight train. tried to check in our room but had to wait...really need a shower after that horrid train. after breakfast we said goodbye to everyone as its the end of the trip. at 10 amie, debbie, nathaly and i caught the riverboat ferry and then the skytrain for a look around newtown bangkok. very different to downtown babgkok very westerised. went to a restaurant called cabbages and condoms for lunch were money is donated to aids relief. then went to the nicest shopping mall in asia...very very posh...gucci, chanel, jimmy choo u name it was there. felt very out of place and scruffy. was very very distraught and upset wen i went in mac to find a ladyboy as an assistant, what are they playing at ...these ladyboys are everywhere. also very annoyed today as a pesky mossie has decided it liked the taste of my eyelid, so ive got a lovely bite on my eyelid! went some markets in the eveing in patpong road before heading to beddybyes wednesday 23rd aug - bangkok today is our last ful day of the trip, so bit bummed out. headed to chianatown this morning after our free breakfast which was crazy ssoooo busy, its where the market people buy all thir stuff. amie then went to look at a buddha made of real gold but i could be bothered as i looked at the pic she took. i didnt have my shoulders and knees covered so they wouldnt have let me in anyway. on the taxi ride back our driver got pulled over by the police was quite strange, dont know what for. got dropped off at some more markets to finish off shopping, then went for manicure and pedicure (3pounds!!), needed one to get the field of dirt from under my nails. then went on internet to write this................... so my journey ends, we fly home at 4 tomoro so this will be the last entry, hope u have enjoyed reading about my travelling tales xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
