We're now in Tongariro National Park ready to do the Alpine Crossing but the weather is awful so looks unlikely... 65km/h winds on the top at the moment so could be a bit hairy! We spoke to a nice man in a ski shop and it turns out that when mother nature heard we were coming she turned the heat wave into electric storms!
We've got to wait until 7.30 tomorrow am to get the final verdict but thinking we'll try to fit it in at the end before we fly home... Bit of a drive but nice man said he thinks it will be ok. Gave nick his card so we can call him to check before leaving Auckland :)
