We were up early to check out and wait for the kiwi experience bus that was picking us up at 0730. All went fine with kiwi, we met our bus driver, Morrie, got on the coach and drove up 180km North of Christchurch to Kaikoura - taking in amazing scenery on the way. On the bus we'd arranged our accommodation so when we got to Kaikoura we were dropped off at the Lazy Shag Hostel, lol.

It was in Kaikoura that Rob got his traditional Maori tattoo done and where Nick wants his so we walked there first. It was quite a walk on such a hot day but we found it and Nick chatted everything through with the guy. Nick is going back to get it done when we pass back through Kaikoura in a couple of weeks on our way back up to the North Island, as the guy has said it is going to be a few hours worth of work!

On our way back we walked along the coast, such great views. Before dinner we went on the internet and finally managed to book somewhere to stay in San Fran! We're knackered from all the walking out in the sun today so off to bed now ready for another early pick up tomorrow!
