I woke at about 6.30 and sat and looked at the seemingly endless Gobi destert. At first there was no civilisation and just sand as far as you could see.
Later it got a little greener and there was the occasional building or jeep. I went for breakfast in the Mongolian restaurant car (it was changed over at the border). I had an omlette and a juice and sat speaking to an retired man from Canada. We talked about living in different countries, Mexico and Vietnam for me. He had also lived in Mexico and also Colombia.
We arrived at Ulan Bator at 14.30. The histel where I was staying picked me up. It was a family run hostel called the Golden Gobi. Had a well needed shower and then went for a look around with Takahashi.
We walked around abnd had a look in the State department store. Although it is the capital city it was really just a smallish town. Then we went to the Delhi Barbi Indian restaurant taht had been recommnded to me by some Danish people I met in Beijing. Then I went and got some new trainers for my trip. Spoke to Du on skype.
