Day 17.... We are a well oiled unit. Setting up and packing up is now 2nd nature and the word stress is not in our vocabulary! After getting minimal supplies at Katherine to last us to the WA boarder we headed out to victoria river roadhouse for the night, another dusty campground.. Starting to think there is no grass in any camp ground! Although paddy is loving playing in the dirt with his tractors!
We were told the quarantine inspectors at the WA boarder are very thorough so we ensured we had no fresh fruit and veg left! We got to the boarder and they were no problem... Quick look in the fridges and off we went! We headed to Lake Argyle and set up at a beautiful shady grassy caravan park we booked in for 2 nights and it was just great to sit and relax! The caravan park had plenty to do. We made good use of the 4x4 tracks to look out over the lake we took a sunset boat cruise of the lake which was super informative and an awesome sight to see! If u get the chance to have a read about lake argyle it's pretty amazing, surprisingly not many people make the most of the awesome water to waterski on... I sure know what we would be doing if we lived up here... The water was like glass and the most perfect temp... Best thing is no crocs... Well Freshys that's it!! Sunday morn after all u can eat pancakes we packed up and headed into Kununurra... We stayed 2 nights just to get our spotty fixed and to grab some fresh fruit and veg and the 2 nights was enough...
Today we are heading out along the Gibb River road... This road was one of the main parts of this country we were really aiming to do so we are super pumped! A short drive to el questro for a look then onto home valley station for a night or 2!
