I'm getting slack on the blog already - I can't believe it.

Anyway, I have been really busy sice my last post. As you can see, I am now in New Zealand with Carolann. In my last couple of Days in Japan I didn't really see anything else that I had not seen before.

The one highlight was going to Karaoke in Shibuya. A few of us from the Hostel went to a Karaoke bar. It's a little different to the U.K as you hire your own room and each person pays about £3 an hour. For this, you get your own karaoke and as much drink as you want. I took full advantage of this and ended up getting back to the Hostel at 5.30am as the metro only opens at 5am so you have to stay out until then or get a taxi which costs a fortune.

I met an Aussie guy called Ken at the hostel in Tokyo who was getting the same flight as me to Sydney. I therefore went to the airport with him on 23rd and it turned out he was a Quantas Club member and he can take one guest into the business lounges. This was awesome. I walked in, had a free feed, had a free shower in a really posh bathroom then used the internet fro free for an hour or so.

After about 18 hours of travelling, I reached Queenstown airport. It's tiny. Met Carolann at the YHA Lakefront hostel. Was really good to see her again. She is looking really good. For the last 5 days here, we have been searching for a place to live and I have also been looking for jobs.

Managed to get a room in a place that is about 25 mins walk from town. It's a nice double room with en-suite in a really nice apartment. Should be moving in on Friday 1/8.

I will be continuing the job hunt in the next few days. Just getting knocked back everywhere at the moment but fingers crossed.

Next blog hopefully will not be be after such a long period of time.
