Caen/Honfleur: Day 5.
This has been the BEST day and it's only 12:30 in the afternoon! We woke up in Caen this morning, packed up the bus, and headed off! Andres had been telling us all day yesterday that he had a surprise for us, and it turns out that the surprise was Honfleur! If I could've chosen, I honestly might have spent the entire trip there. The town was absolutely PERFECT. It was a beautiful little harbor that was lined with shops, there weren't too many people there, and gosh, if you could just SEE it! We were only there for about two hours and that time passed as quickly as two minutes. I walked around with Jordan, we went into a bunch of little shops, tried chocolate covered cherries, got some apple cider and caramels, and ate some lunch! Well, she got some lunch, I just got some cheese for Tori and I to eat with a baguette on the train.
OH YEAH, WE'RE TAKING THE CHUNNEL, BY THE WAY. I'm SO excited! Apparently it has windows so that you can see out into the channel? I'm not sure if that's true, but that's what I've heard! We're on the bus on the way to the station right now, and we're watching this movie about Queen Elizabeth I...I'm not really paying attention, but it seems a little boring...Mitch is sitting next to me watching Downton Abbey on his iPad, so obviously he thinks so hahaha. Anyway, we're going to be in England around 2:30 I believe, so I'm excitedddddd! France has been amazing, but the language barrier has been quite difficult. Although, of course now that I'm getting used to speaking it, we're leaving. Just my luck.
