I awoke at midday, rather hungover, angry I had missed a free breakfast, and feeling pretty sorry for myself.
Gabbi had already left for the beach so Kieren and I got our swimwear on, creamed up and made our way down as well. We had breakfast at the t-brizz place linked with our hostel (I had pancake with eggs, bacon, cheese and tomatoes, it was pretty bloody good!) Once we had filled our bellies we got on to the beach for a spot of sunbathing. It was blisteringly hot. We had to keep going in to the sea to cool down. The sea is beautiful here, once you get past the algae. It is really clear with white sands. White beach, where we were today, is really built up and aimed at tourists, it is nice though, if rather pricey.
Towards the end of the day Kieren and I decided to go paddle boarding. It is basically a surf board which you stand in and use a paddle to glide around the sea. It was fun, I only fell off once but when the boats drove past and create waves I did almost lose my balance quite a few times. We paddle boarded a bit and also just lay in the sea on our boards until our hour was up.
We arrived back to the hostel and Freshened up, the showers here are quite nice, if a little pathetic, but warm. And the towels they give you are glorious, all white and fluffy!
When we were ready, Gabbi, Kieren and I went to find some food, hoping to be more successful then the previous night. We walked to a place that Gabbi and I had spotted on the main road when we first arrived called 'steak rave', we walked in and had a look at the menu, promptly walking out at the price. We then found ourself in a little restaurant for a curry, spending about the same as we would if we had stayed in the steak place. The curry was delicious though, all 3 of us decided upon the masala, it came with freshly made naan break and had a beautiful kick to it, without being too spicy or masking the other flavours. Gabbi and I also shared the samosas, choosing a mixture of beef and cheese. I was really impressed with my dinner and felt extremely satisfied.
I merrily went from the restaurant to pick up my washing from down the road, considering the amount I had, I was surprised to discover it was only to coat me 120 pesos, just under £2! I love having washing done at the laundrette, the fabric conditioner they use always smells incredible and my stuff was still warm from the dryer!
After checking my washing was all there I packed it into my backpack, unfortunately I do not remember much after this as I fell asleep leaving Gabbi and Kieren to a very stressful flight booking, only to awaken to put my pjs on past midnight. The food and washing had made me one happy Hucker.
