Today I did some typically French activities: this morning I got up early (well, ok, about 8 o'clock) and went to the markets with Guillaume 2. They were at the end of our street (yay! no lugging groceries up the hill) and were very 'ethnically colourful'. Have returned to Creil after spending 3 days on the Picardy "coast" with other language assistants. It was fantastic to meet people from all over the globe: there were English assistants from England, Ireland, Wales, America, Canada (and of course, Australia!); Spanish assistants from Mexico, Bolivia, and lots of other countries.
